Meet Erin

Hello! I'm Erin Hart, the "Hart" behind Hart & Soul Wedding Planning and Design, based in Austin, Texas.

Before Hart & Soul, I spent nearly a decade working in construction project coordination. That experience taught me how to manage complex timelines, communicate across teams, anticipate problems, and keep countless moving pieces moving in the same direction. It taught me to remain steady when plans change, pay attention to the details other people may overlook, and carry a project from its earliest ideas through completion.

I learned that I was good at bringing structure to a big vision—but over time, I also began to realize that I wanted to use those skills in a way that felt more personal, creative, and fulfilling.

Starting Hart & Soul meant going out on a limb and allowing myself to pursue something I had imagined for a long time. It wasn't a decision I made lightly. Leaving the familiarity of a career I had spent years building was both exciting and incredibly vulnerable, but I knew I wanted to create something that brought together the experience I already had and the kind of work that genuinely made me feel alive.

Wedding planning and construction project coordination may look very different from the outside, but they share a surprising amount beneath the surface. Both begin with a vision and require thoughtful planning, strong communication, trusted partners, carefully managed timelines, and someone who can hold the big picture while keeping track of every detail along the way.

Hart & Soul allows me to bring that part of myself—the organized, dependable coordinator—together with my love of creativity, meaningful details, and bringing people together.

I created this business because I believe a wedding should feel like more than a beautiful event. It should feel like the people at the center of it—their story, their relationships, their personalities, and the life they're beginning together.

A wedding brings so many meaningful things into one place. It's the people you love, the traditions you carry with you, the memories that brought you here, and all the hopes you have for what comes next. Being invited into something that personal is an incredible honor, and it's a responsibility I don't take lightly.

In my work, I'm always thinking about both the big picture and the smallest details. I care about how a room looks, but I care just as much about how it feels when your guests enter it. I think about the flow of the day, the moments you want to protect, and the thoughtful choices that will make your celebration feel unmistakably yours.

Because beautiful design matters—but beauty means so much more when it has a reason behind it.

I also know that planning a wedding can feel overwhelming. There are countless decisions to make, opinions to navigate, and details competing for your attention, all while you're trying to remain connected to what the day is actually about. My role is to bring clarity to that process, thoughtfully guide each decision, and carry the details with you so you never feel like you're managing everything alone.

My approach is thoughtful, collaborative, and grounded in listening. I want to understand what matters to you before we begin deciding how anything should look. From there, we can create a celebration that feels cohesive and intentional without losing the warmth, personality, and beautifully human moments that make it yours.

When your wedding day arrives, my hope is that you can take a breath, look around, and be fully present. I want you to notice the people who showed up for you, feel the meaning behind every detail, and experience the day instead of managing it. 

That is what Hart & Soul means to me: having the courage to pursue work that feels meaningful, creating something beautiful with intention, and caring deeply for the people and stories behind every celebration.
